CoderZone Sandbox: HTML Tables: Background Colors
HTML rows, cells, and entire tables can be colored using the bgcolor parameter. Colors can be specified with either hex values (i.e. '#7A4DC8') or by any of the officially recognized reserved color names (i.e. 'blue'). If using hex colors, they must be preceded by a hash mark (#). If a table background color is set, all cells in the table will take on that color by default unless their background color is set. As with virtually all HTML properties, table coloring can also be done with CSS styling.
