CoderZone Sandbox: HTML Tables: Cell and table Width
This page shows examples of changing the cell and table width in HTML tables. The width parameter is used to control the width or horizontal spread of a table, and also of the data cells. The width parameter can be either a set number of pixels or a percentage. When using percentages in data cells the total of the percentages should add up to 100%. If a percentage is used for the table width, the table will be that percentage of the width of the browser window or the containing element (such as another table or div). If not contained within another element the table will expand or contact along with the browser window.
