What are people using for web development environments?

I used to use a Windows PC and FTP or SSH code, images, and content to the server, but I've been using CentOS for about a year now, and I really like being able to build a site on my laptop, then move it to a production server.

I'm still using a Windows box to develop on, but all my stuff runs on Linux (Debian, actually). I've been meaning to make the change to a Linux box for some time now but haven't gotten around to doing it.

I develop nearly everything on windows, but all my servers run on Linux (CentOS to be precise).

Last year I used a Linux, Ubuntu machine for developping, but eventually I switched back to Windows because I had some small issues with Ubuntu.
